How wonderful to be “justified by faith” – right with God – forgiven of all sin, made righteous, transformed inside-out by God! I remember the wonderful sense of peace and joy that came to my life when I put my trust in God to fulfill His promise to make me “right with God!” That day I repented (turned from my sin) and put my trust in Jesus make me “right with God” through what He did on my behalf through His death, burial and resurrection!
Great experience – awesome experience!!!
But, having done that – and experienced that – how can I take that experience and turn it into a reality, day by day, in my life? How can I live a transformed life? How can I live “right with God?”
Well, I’m glad you asked! My Bible reading today during my time of “coffee with the Lord” helped provide the answer I believe! Here it is…
Here’s how you get “right with God”… “A person is not justified by works of the law, but through faith in Jesus Christ,,,because by works of the law no one will be justified!” (Galatians 2:17) You cannot get “right with God” by trying to earn it through religious rigor or good works!
And once “justified” or “right with God,” how can you live that way every day and demonstrate that you’re “right with God” through faith in Christ? Here it is… same passage: “I have been crucified with Christ! It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me! And the life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me!” (Galatians 2:20) In other words, I fully (and personally) identify with what Jesus did on my behalf – His death, burial, and resurrection – every day! His death, becomes my death to sin and self! His resurrection life becomes the dynamic I depend upon to live a transformed life that pleases Him! You see, baptism becomes more than a ceremony – it represents a lived-out reality in my life!
Only one response… Praise the Lord and thank you Jesus!!!
