Need an assuring word today as you seek to follow the Lord? Here’s one I encountered today in my Bible reading during my time of “coffee with the Lord”…
“But as for you…I have called you…I have chosen you and will not throw you away! Don’t be afraid for I am with you! Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God! I will strengthen you and help you! I will hold you up with my victorious right hand! For I hold you by your right hand – I, the Lord your God. I say to you, ‘Don’t be afraid, I am here to help you! … I am the Lord, your Redeemer, I am the Holy One of Israel!’” (From Isaiah 41:8-14)
Now you (and I) need to hear that from the Lord! And it needs to be noted that those words were not spoken to perfect people! They were spoken to a wayward, rebellious nation – people who had often gone their own way and failed miserably! They were deserving of judgment but the Lord offered them mercy and love!
Perhaps that describes you! Oh hear his voice through His word! He calls you to Himself – He claims you as His own – a loving Heavenly Father, a gracious Redeemer! His purposes for your life and mine are wonderful!
