Well today marks three months since the terrible car accident we were involved in south of Hugo, Colorado in which Sharon, my wife, experienced severe injuries (10 fractured ribs – several with multiple fractures, a fractured collarbone that required surgery, a punctured lung – days in ICU and the hospital, pain management challenges, therapy, and just a lot of adjustments and accommodations to the situation)! Sharon has never complained or acted out of Christian character. Her attitude has been positive, faith-filled, and filled with gratitude for all that care givers, wonderful friends, and sometimes mere acquaintances have done to help her! Let me tell you, as her husband and chief caregiver, she is one incredible woman! I’m proud of her. Her battles are not over, as you can well imagine, but I’ve never loved her more or been more proud of anyone in my life!
Hey, it’s time for a tribute and testimony! Just let me say this about Sharon Martha Bartel… She is a case study and living example of Philippians 4:11-13!!!
“I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me! … To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.”
Hey, I adore you Sharon and my admiration for you is absolutely incredible!
