How a person spends their money says a lot about them… about their values, about their priorities, about their character…
I read this proverb this morning during my time of “Coffee with the Lord”…
“The wage of the righteous leads to life – the gain of the wicked to sin.” (Proverbs 10:16)
Gotta tell you, I want the money I spend to “speak”! I want it to produce life-giving things! I never want it to produce or encourage anything sinful! With God’s help I desire to weigh every expenditure – every use of discretionary income by that guiding principle, don’t you?
And then, this morning, as an added blessing and benefit, I read this proverb that really identified true riches and wealth for me…
“The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and He adds no sorrow with it!” (Proverbs 10:22)
