He is God… “From cradle to grave!”

From cradle to graveHey, He’s our loving Heavenly Father “from cradle to grave!” If you’re holding a brand new baby in your arms as a parent, or if you have more years under your belt than most everyone around you; what God says in Isaiah 46 is good news! I read it in the Bible during my time of “Coffee with the Lord” just this morning…
“Listen to Me, you who have been borne by Me from before your birth, carried from the womb; even to your old age I am He, and to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made you, and I will bear you; I will carry and I will save! … I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose! I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass; I have purposed, and I will do it!’” (From Isaiah 46:3-4, 9-11)

How does God bring “Salvation” in times of trouble?

Parting of the Red SeaSometimes God brings “salvation” (deliverance from danger, disease and distress) this way… “Moses said the people, ‘fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord which He will work for you today… The Lord will fight for you and you have only to be silent.'” (Exodus 14:13-14) But at other times He requires us to do something – to take some action in obedience and faith. In either case He is a powerful, wonderful, loving “Savior”!!

Wow! Creator, Sustainer… From the Entire Universe to the Smallest Child!

Wow! I just read Psalm 8 again this morning during my time of “Coffee with the Lord!” Let me say it again… WOW! (You should read it today!) God of all! God over all! Creator and sustainer of the vast expanse of the entire universe, all the way to the tiny bundle of a babe in a mother’s arms… No, even before then – a fertilized egg – a vibrant, living, packet of human potential in the womb of a mother… He is God! He created it all – He is over it all!!!

So here are the words of the Psalm… read it, reflect and worship! I did this morning!

“O LORD, OUR LORD, HOW MAJESTIC IS YOUR NAME IN ALL THE EARTH! You have set your glory above the heavens. Out of the mouth of babies and infants, you have established strength… When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor! You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet, all sheep and oxen, and also the beasts of the field, the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes along the paths of the seas. O LORD, OUR LORD, HOW MAJESTIC IS YOUR NAME IN ALL THE EARTH!” (From Psalm 8 ESV)

One more time… WOW!
