I hear ya’ Apostle Paul! … I WANT TO “PROCLAIM CHRIST” for the RIGHT REASONS and from the RIGHT MOTIVES… ALWAYS!!!
“Some proclaim Christ from envy and rivalry, but others from good will. The latter do it out of love… The former proclaim Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely … What then? … Whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed, and in that I rejoice! (From Philippians 1:15–18)
Think about it… Two key things a Christian needs every day in the world in which we live…
“GRACE to you and PEACE!”
And Who/where do we get them from?
“From GOD OUR FATHERand the LORD JESUS CHRIST!”
And remember that incredibly important “tidbit” was WRITTEN FROM PRISON by Apostle Paul! … Philippians 1:1-2
Meditating this morning on the shortest Psalm… the shortest chapter… in the Bible – Psalm 117. But boy, does it pack a wallop!! I mean, just think about comprehensiveness of these concepts!! …
So this is what the Psalm says…
“PRAISE THE LORD, all you NATIONS!
Extol Him, all you PEOPLES!
For GREAT IS HIS LOVE toward us!
The FAITHFULNESS of the Lord ENDURES FOREVER!
PRAISE THE LORD!
So here I am with my cup of coffee this morning blown away by His great love and enduring faithfulness trying, in my feeble way to adequately praise and extol Him!! Perhaps, just perhaps, the Holy Spirit can assist me today (cp. Romans 8:26-27; 1 Corinthians 14:2, 4, 14-18)… Ya think?
