Don’t default to commanding, threatening or “strong-arming” team members (and subordinates)… As a Christian, for love’s sake, appeal to them instead.
The verse that prompted this reflection? Paul writing to Philemon on behalf of Onesimus: “Though I am bold enough in Christ to command you to do what is required, yet for love’s sake I prefer to appeal to you.”
