Do you love and respect your parents (whether by birth or adoption)? Do you want to please them and do something to pleasure them? I hope so!
Here’s how you can do that straight out of the Bible…
“My child, if your heart is wise, my own heart will rejoice! Everything in me will celebrate when you speak what is right. Don’t envy sinners, but fear the Lord [i.e. reverence Him] all the days of your life! You will be rewarded for this! Your hope will not be disappointed!” (Proverbs 23:15–18 from the New Living Translation)
My parents have died and are now with the Lord… But I can tell you this is what would make them very happy and what would please them. I intend to live my life this way! And a hint to my children if they are reading this… More than anything else on planet earth… more than any gift you could give me… what this passage says is what would bring this parent pleasure! Just say’n 🙂
