Thought a lot about this during “Coffee with the Lord” this morning… What kind of “neighbor” am I? My self examination was prompted by this proverb…
“One who is righteous is a guide to his neighbor, but the way of the wicked leads them astray.” (Proverbs 12:26 ESV)
I never, never, never want my lifestyle to be a stumbling block, a barrier standing in the way of my lost neighbor deciding to follow Christ! Nor do I want my behavior ever to be a deceptive side trail leading my Christian neighbor away from God!
Gotta watch my lifestyle! I want it to attract people to the Lord! I want to be able to say to my neighbor, “follow me as I follow Christ!” (1 Corinthians 11:1) I want my life to display His grace, His love, His character so winsomely that my neighbor is drawn to Christ! I want to be a “good neighbor” in practical and Christ-honoring ways! Help me today Lord!!
